In sports, every game and season comes to an end. While we would love to play games forever, is it possible? Every year in sports there is a great athlete that says goodbye to their respective game. “What’s next?” is what everyone asks and their new chapter begins.
Are you asking the same question about your future? When do you want to stop working? Can you? Will you have to continue working?
When we reach our final day working our lives continue and bills keep coming. Over the course of our lives, if we do things correctly, we hopefully accumulate money in retirement plans, savings accounts or brokerage accounts. Most families also have assets like their home, real estate or a business. This gives you options when you want to stop working.
Have you asked yourself where is my income going to come from? Where will you live? What type of lifestyle do you want? Will you be able to travel? What will my bills look like?
Not having a retirement strategy or game plan will force you to make decisions that will be uncomfortable. Not setting aside money for the day you want working will probably mean you will have to continue working. Let’s work on a game plan together!
“When you decide that you don’t or can’t work anymore, can you financially? If you don’t set aside money for the future, I guess you will always have to work.”
